Over a number of years my beautiful grandmother deteriorated. She was no longer the lovely lady we all knew. Dementia took her from us. My brother and I were very fortunate to have grown up knowing the real you. But our youngest sibling Clare has no memory of you. Which deeply saddens me. But I have lots of lovely memories to tell her. I also talk to my daughter Rose Imani about you. I know how much you would have adored her. I can imagine you sitting in heaven with Grandad and you both smiling and keeping her safe for me when I am not with her.
Has been four years now. But it hasn't become much easier. I love and miss you so so so so so.....much. Look forward to the day when I can hug you once more.
